The Department of Gerontological Health Care guides students in acquiring professional knowledge and skills in gerontological heath care and management and assists students in obtaining relevant certifications and qualifications before graduation. Students are expected to become indispensable professionals in the gerontological healthcare industry. Prospects after graduation include,
Advanced Study
Students can pursue higher education such as,
1. Graduate institutes related to gerontological health, gerontological education, nursing of traditional Chinese medicine integrated with western medicine, and long-term care;
2. Graduate institutes related to social welfare, social work, and public welfare;
3. Graduate institutes related to medical care management and health policy management;
4. Graduate institutes related to the gerontological and health technology industries.
Professional Licenses
- Students would be guided by our faculty to obtain relevant certifications/qualifications of healthcare-related professional courses in the gerontological care and health industry.
- Students would be guided by our faculty to obtain relevant certifications/licenses of health promotion, including the Basic Life Support (BLS), Junior Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-1), Intermediate Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-2), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Emergency Trauma Training Course (ETTC), CPR+AED, Long-term Care Manager, Junior Case Manager, Health Manager, Special Needs Oral Care Instructor, Horticultural Therapist, Beginner Music Therapist, Art Therapist, Long-term Care Aromatherapist , International Aromatherapist (NAHA LEVEL1 International Certification Course), and Senior Fitness Instructor.
