Off-campus Internship

Off-campus internships start from basic to complicated healthcare practice. Internships are designed to be kept up with the trend of current health industry

ü Internship combines academic theory with clinical practice. For example, off-campus internships include joint teaching with dual-teachers (school teachers and industry experts) and curriculum design corresponding to academic theory as well as clinical practice.

ü Internship is progressive. It starts from basic nursing practice (basic nursing and care skills), geriatric healthcare practicum I (health and sub-health elderly), geriatric healthcare practicum II (mildly, moderately, and severely disabled, and/or mental and physical disabled elderly), to practicum for obtaining gerontological health care employment (the last mile internship) that selected based on students’ desired future employment and workplaces. Guidance is provided to assist students in obtaining licenses or qualifications to help them accumulate clinical experiences during internships before graduation.
